After completion of an artistic baccalaureate in 2012, Sam spent a year as an intern for FOG Artistics, and then collaborated as an assistant director and editor on a freelance basis. He worked with a number of clients on projects varying from events to promotional, corporate and documentary films.
As of 2015, Sam Hertzog has become an independent filmmaker, and obtained a Diploma in Directing and Cinematography from Brighton Film School
In January 2019, Sam joined the CERN as in-house video producer.
In August 2022, Sam co-founded S House Media, an advertising and content agency based in Los Angeles.
Sam is a regular performer in a rock band "The Black Socks", theater groups and circus shows.
In 2014, He co-founded the association FOCUS Films, to launch a feature film "Le rire de Mathis" and documentary "The Rhino Game".
In January 2015, Sam published a novel titled "Léa et moi" through the french publisher Edilivre.
Since 2015, Sam has been working regularly with various wildlife conservation groups across Southern Africa.
